The sporting goods market in Europe will grow to USD 30.74 billion in 2025, the Warsaw Business Journal says, citing the findings of a report entitled "European Sporting Goods Market: Size, Trends & Forecasts (2021-2025 Edition)".

Growth forecasts illustrate the fact that after a long period of pandemic restrictions, the sports industry is starting to make up for financial losses and return to the game. The mood on the market is fostered by the decisions of state administrations, which are looking more and more reluctantly towards "hard" lockdowns, as well as the growing awareness and persuasion of people to a healthy lifestyle.

"Despite the difficult time behind the sports industry, we are optimistic about the next few months. Looking at the current sales trends and market research, we expect customers to be more interested in the sports offer. The market of sports products is currently supported by factors such as growing public awareness of pro-health behavior and the importance of physical fitness. Intensive professional life convinces people to include sport in their daily habits," Marek Kaczmarek, president of the management board, Intersport Polska, said.
