EMAG Switching to Regional Branding and Slogan

Retail

After reaching the final milestone of the merger between eMAG and Extreme Digital in May, the two companies have now moved to a common platform based on eMAG's new regional brand vision, created jointly, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

For months, both brand names have appeared on eMAG.hu to inform customers, but from now on the company will continue to use the eMAG brand name as part of its internationally unified brand positioning strategy.

The company will continue to build on decades of experience in selling electronics products through the merger with Extreme Digital, but many more product categories will be available on eMAG.hu, and the new brand vision and tagline will reflect this.

The inspiration for eMAG's regional vision is the human intuition that drives people forward, and the company says that its role is to provide the tools to move forward: a universal platform where people can find everything they need, anytime, anywhere, at an affordable price.

The new slogan - which will debut at the end of August is designed to convey the message to potential customers that eMAG is more than a product finder with an extensive range of products.

"We are launching the new communication platform with a campaign that reflects the current economic situation... The new eMAG ads will feature stories of people who find the perfect product when they shop, but don't buy it straight away. Why? Because the search is the experience: many people like to compare products, get inspired during their search, and choose the best offers - which are always waiting for them at eMAG", says Zsolt Szauter, marketing director of eMAG.

The first new seasonal campaign will be launched for the back-to-school season at the end of August, followed by a back-to-home campaign in early fall.
