Croatia Retail Trade Picks up in July
Croatia's retail sales volume rose by a real 2.9% year-on-year in July, following an increase of 2.2% in June, the Zagreb-based Croatian Bureau of Statistics( Crostat) said on Wednesday, quoting working-day adjusted figures.
Sales growth accelerated for food, beverages and tobacco (4% vs 1.7% in June).
Conversely, sales rose at a softer pace for automotive fuel (2% vs 2.1%), while trade dropped for non-food products (-1.2% vs 2.5%).
On a monthly comparison basis, seasonally- and working-day adjusted retail sales volume added 0.4% in July, after it dipped 0.6% in June.
