British Dawnay to invest in Satu Mare, Romania

Atrium Centers, controlled by Dawnay, Day PanTerra, has recently acquired 2.7 hectares of land in Satu Mare in order to build a shopping centre.
The investment will amount to approximately €61 million ($83 million), according to company representatives. This will be Atrium’s fourth mall in Romania, as the company has already started construction works for the malls in Cluj, Arad and Baia Mare. Atrium Center Satu Mare has a retail surface of some 30,000 square meters and includes over 135 stores, a hypermarket, 8-10 multiplexmovie theaters, restaurants and coffee houses.
British investment group Dawnay, Day plans to invest €900 million ($1.225 million) in Romania over the next few years. Dawnay, Day Group in countries such as Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, the Baltic states and India. (bursa.ro)
