Aldi Hungary will permanently reduce the price of every third dairy product, the German-based discount chain announced yesterday morning, according to business daily Világgazdaság.

In practice, this means that the prices of 85 mainly refrigerated products will be cut significantly, up to almost 45%.

In June alone, Aldi has reduced the prices of 120 fresh foods by 15-42%, and a third of its permanent dairy product range became cheaper, the report noted.

The store chain also indicated that, in addition to these, it continues to offer at least 80 discount products per week.
