Weiss Hungária to expand new capacity in Győr

Plastics spare parts manufacturer Weiss Hungária plans to expand its just completed base in Győr (NW Hungary) further at a cost of €1.4m, the financial daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Wednesday.

The additional investment is necessary because the company projects a 15-20% rise of production, and will bring about new hires too, next year. The project will include building additional manufacturing capacity as well as equipment purchases. Preparations of expansion will start soon.

Weiss Hungária has recently completed its first Hungary plant in Győr as a €1.6m greenfield investment. The production base started with 77 employees in the summer of 2011.

The company supplies electronics and car manufacturers, and its clients include the Knorr-Bremse plant in Kecskemét. It plans €5m sales already this year.
