U.S. IT consulting firm Unisys is relocating its call center activities from Western Europe to Hungary, business daily Világgazdaság said on Friday.

Unisys is downsizing its U.S. and Western European activities while expanding in Central and Eastern Europe, India and China. The company will expand its Hungarian staff from the current 30-40 to 250-300 by the autumn, said Gábor Fekete, head of Unisys Hungary Kft. Hungary is the firm's only European operation that is not contracting, he added.
Unisys provides services including systems integration, network engineering, project management, and technical support. It had revenue of $60 million (Ft 13 billion) in Hungary last year.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
