Stadler's operations in Hungary

Stadler Rail AG – Swiss train manufacturer - chose Hungary as the site for its new factory. Stadler, is contracted to supply state railways - MAV Zrt. -  with new motorcars, chose Hungary rather than choosing Poland, or its home country. The director of Stadler's operations in Hungary says that Stadler headquarters had not yet made a final decision on the location of the new plant. This future investment is expected to be in the region of 10-15 billion HUF. The factory is to produce 40-50 aluminum carriages annually, with an expectation to see a return after 7-8 years and could create 300 jobs. Stadler has not yet decided on the form of the investment, which involves introducing new technology to Hungary.
