Preymesser plans Ft 2.7 bln warehouse in Hungary
Preymesser Hungária Kft, the local subsidiary of German logistics company Preymesser, plans to build a Ft 2.7 billion warehouse and office at its base in Hungary, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Wednesday.
The 12,000 square meter warehouse and the 400-600 square meter office is only the first part of a much larger investment, Michael Preymesser, the company's owner, told the paper. In the second phase, Preymesser will automate the warehouse. The new complex will serve as the European delivery centre for products made by aluminum company Alcoa-Köfém, one of Preymesser's biggest clients in Hungary.
Preymesser will also build a new IT development centre at its base in Székesfehérvár, west Hungary. When it is completed, the center will employ 80-100 people, up from the 60-70 who currently handle IT developments for the unit.
Preymesser has stakes in several other Hungarian logistics companies in addition to Preymesser Hungária. It owns 25% of Dunaferr Logisztika Kft, 16.29% of DMS Kft and 50% of Ferroport Kft, which operates a commercial dock in the south of Budapest.
