Rubber producer Palotás-Mix is building a HUF 717 million mixing plant at its base in Kemeneshőgyész, founder László Palotás told MTI. The expansion is serving the automation of a process having been undertaken manually in the past, Palotás added.

The new plant is expected to be completed by September. The construction is covered by a HUF 102 million European Union and state grant won by Palotás-Mix. The company delivers its products to about a hundred businesses allowing them to sell 1,300 tons of formulated rubber in 2013.

Approximately 40 people work at the plant, but headcount would rise to 50 with the investment. Palotas-Mix's revenue climbed 12% to HUF 1.35 billion last year. According to Palotás the company could reach the targeted 10% increase in turnover this year.
