Mapei to invest HUF 1 bln in Hungary

The Hungarian subsidiary of Italian building materials manufacturer Mapei is scheduled to launch a HUF 1 bln investment at its plant in Sóskút, near the capital, the company announced yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
Within the framework of the investment, the Hungarian subsidiary will double storage capacity as well as set up a new production line. The investment is expected to create 30 new jobs at the plant, managing director Béla Markovich said. As a result of the investment Mapei hopes to double sales revenue at its Hungarian unit to HUF 20 bln by 2020, MTI reported.
