Just one bid received in fourth offer of Parád Kristály

Only one bid has been received for Parád Kristály Kft, a 300-year-old Hungarian maker of fine crystal, the bailiff in charge of the company's liquidation said on Tuesday.

It is the fourth time the company has been offered for sale. The offer will be assessed and a decision made within eight days, bailiff Benedek Pintér said. The guideline price for the company was set at Ft 144 million, well under the Ft 318.5 million guideline price when the company was first offered for sale in June.
Parád Kristály, which exports 70% of its products to the US and Japan, has been hurt by the weak dollar and went under liquidation at the start of 2005.
