Japan's Alpine to invest $39 mln in Hungary

Japanese electronics company Alpine is planning to invest $39 mln at its plant in Biatorbágy, on the outskirts of Budapest, and expects to double production capacity by 2018 and create 500 jobs, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said today.
Through the project the company is expecting to invest in new technology and install new production lines, which will enable it to raise the proportion of Hungarian suppliers it relies on.
