Hungary household chemicals, cosmetics market stagnates

Hungary's household chemicals and cosmetics market was worth about HUF 300 billion in the twelve months to the end of February, level with the previous twelve-month period, market research company Nielsen told MTI.

Sales of diapers, shower gel, washing-up liquid, general cleaning products and paper tissues climbed 1-4%.

Sales volume of the products edged down 3% during the period, Nielsen said.

Hypermarkets accounted for about 38% of sales in the product group.
