Hungary gets first COVID jabs for kids aged 5-11

The first delivery of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 has arrived in Budapest, public television reported on Tuesday morning.
Jabs for about 69,000 children arrived at Ferenc Liszt International, news channel M1 said.
The jabs were brought to a warehouse in Vecsés, on the outskirts of the capital, where they will be distributed by car on Tuesday. The first jabs will go to the Pál Heim Children's Hospital in Budapest. Inoculation of the age group will start on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a weekly radio interview on Friday that the inoculation of children aged 5-11 against the coronavirus would start on December 15, and stressed the importance of vaccination ahead of gatherings around the holidays.
"If we want to sit around the family table on Christmas Eve not being afraid, but feeling safe, then the kids, the parents, and the grandparents need to be inoculated," he said.
