Hungarian company to build bridge in Germany – Napi Gazdaság
Hungarian-owned construction company Harcon has won an order worth €6.2m to assemble the iron structure of a new bridge over the river Mosel in Germany, business daily Napi Gazdaság said on Friday.
President and CEO Zoltán Szakáll told the paper that the work is to begin in February 2012 and will be completed in three years, with forty workers employed in the project. The client is Eiffel Deutschland Stahltechnologie GmbH.
Harcon was established in 1997 with registered capital of HUF 112m, which has been raised to more than HUF 800m in the meantime, with revenue of more than HUF 10bn per year.
The company has a 17,000sqm production base in Miskolc where it manufactures equipment for chemical and oil companies. Harcon's biggest projects are based in Kazakhstan, where it continuously employs 200 Hungarian and 500 local workers. Its biggest client there is Chevron's local subsidiary, the paper said.
