GE to bring further production to Hungary

Pharma

General Electric (GE) Energy Environmental Services will deploy the company’s industrial filter production capacities in Europe to Nagykanizsa, the daily Napi Gazdaság reports.

The new factory will be the European center for the sector, as confirmed by Imre Varga of the General Electric PR department. Through the move concentrating production, GE Energy wishes to enhance efficiency. At present Nagykanizsa hosts one of GE’s largest light source factories and logistics centers. The new factory is expected to employ 100 staff, said Varga, who did not reveal any other data concerning the volume of the investment. The company has already started to prepare the production and to select the future employees, mainly well-trained seamstresses (the company will produce fabric-based filters). GE Energy’s filters are used in various industrial appliances, primarily for reducing the emission of granular materials. (Napi Gazdaság)
