Egervin opens Ft 670 mln bottling plant

Winemaker Egervin Rt opened yesterday a Ft 670 million bottling plant and warehouse at its main cellars in Eger, northeast Hungary, bringing all of its production to one central location.

With the expansion, Egervin's warehouse capacity has reached 1.3 million bottles, and the new bottling plant has a capacity to turn out 80,000 bottles per day. Egervin sells about 10 million bottles of wine a year. About 30% is exported to countries in Europe and North America. The company has annual sales of Ft 2.5 billion-Ft 3 billion, CEO Attila Botos said.
