Delphi to move production to Szombathely, Hungary
American Delphi Co. plans to move its entire plastic car parts production to its Szombathely plant, communications manager of Delphi Hungary Kft Zoltán Jámbor said.
Delphi Co. will transfer its production capacity from Brazil and three European countries to Szombathely and will establish a new plant for Ft 1 billion ($5.4 million), Jámbor said. The number of employees may grow from 250 to 350 from 2008, he added. Delphi will also move some activities from Hungary to Slovakia but will establish its regional center in Hungary, Jámbor noted.
