Danish Coloplast completes new plant

Coloplast, a world leading manufacturer of medical device, opened its second factory in Hungary. The company signed a €100 million (about $140 million) agreement with the government on a new project in Nyírbátor last October.

Coloplast’s two Hungarian factories produce €100 million products annually, representing the most significant production capacity of the mother company. The investment will create at least 600 jobs in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county by spring 2009. Recruitment and training has been started in rented buildings and at the 6 year old Tatabánya plant. The Coloplast group realizes 97% of its sales outside Denmark. The company puts out products in Denmark, Hungary, USA, China, Germany and France. (Napi Gazdaság)
