Avis expects 2006 Hungary revenue to rise to Ft 910 mln

The Hungarian unit of US car rental company Avis plans revenue of Ft 910 million in 2006, up from Ft 850 million in 2005 and Ft 800 million in 2004, Murray Hennessy, director of Avis Europe Group, recently told Avis managers from all around the world at a meeting in Budapest.
Avis has invested €25 million at its Hungarian unit, which it had set up 30 years ago. The unit operates a fleet of 900 vehicles and employs 250 people at seven offices around the country. In 2004, it set up a central office and accounting center for the region in Hungary, choosing the country over China and India.
Starting from October, Avis is offering special deals to frequent fliers of Hungarian airline Malév Zrt in 182 countries around the world.
