Another 260,000 doses of the COVID vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech have arrived in Hungary, the local unit of Pfizer said on Thursday.

Pfizer Gyógyszerkereskedelmi said the latest shipment raises total deliveries of the Comirnaty vaccine to Hungary to more than 6.3 million doses.

The unit said Pfizer had reliably delivered COVID-19 vaccines to inoculation points in Hungary on a weekly basis for half a year.

It added that over 1.5 million doses of the vaccine had been delivered in the first quarter, and more than 4.5 million doses in the second quarter.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
