Accenture names new country managing director

Accenture has named Tomáš Volek as country managing director for Slovakia and Hungary, effective May 1. In this role, he leads Accenture’s business and operations in the two countries, with a specific focus on growth by innovation and digital transformation.
Volek succeeds Peter Škodný, who left Accenture at the end of April. Prior to assuming his new role, Volek led Accenture’s Advanced Technology Centers in Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, which employ more than 1,500 people to provide technology services and digital capabilities to Accenture clients worldwide.
Since joining Accenture in 1995, Volek has served as an SAP expert and worked on several large systems integration projects across a wide variety of industries in Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and India. In 2003, he set up the Bratislava Delivery Center for Technology, taking on the role of delivery center lead in 2012.
