Slovakia industrial output shrinks in February
Industrial production in Slovakia fell by 0.2% year-on-year in February, after three consecutive months of growth and against market expectations of a 1.5% rise, figures released by the Bratislava-based Central Statistical Office (SÚSR) show.
Output decreased for mining & quarrying (-22%) and electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-11.4%).
At the same time, manufacturing growth slowed (2.2% vs 5% in January).
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell 1.5% compared to January.
