Moldova Industrial Output Shrinks in July

Industrial production in Moldova shrank by 4% year-on-year in July, easing from a 10.5% drop in June, Tradingeconomics.com reported citing data from the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS).

It was the eleventh consecutive month of contraction.

Output continued to fall for mining & quarrying (-11.5% vs -7.2% in June) and manufacturing (-7% vs -13.3%).

On the other hand, production accelerated for electricity, gas, steam, & air conditioning supply (32.4% vs 21.1%).

Monthly, industrial output fell by 0.7%, reversing a 0.7% increase in June.
