Industrial Production Up in June

The volume of industrial production in Hungary grew by 1.5% year-on-year in June 2022, according to raw data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

Based on working-day adjusted data production rose by 4.8% compared to June 2021.

The volume of production grew in the largest weight representing subsections compared to the same month of the previous year: the manufacture of transport equipment, as well as the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products increased to a lesser degree, the manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco products rose to a greater extent.

However, the production dropped in the majority of the other manufacturing subsections, KSH notes.

According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output was 0.6% higher than in May 2022.

In the first six months of the year production was 5.1% higher than in January-June 2021.
