In February 2022, the volume of industrial production in Hungary grew by 4.5% year-on-year, according to both raw and working-day adjusted indices by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The majority of the manufacturing subsections contributed to the growth, however, the manufacture of transport equipment representing the largest weight slightly declined.
After stagnation in the previous month, the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products and the manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco both increased, the latter at a rate above the industrial average.
In the first two months of the year, production was 6.6% higher than in the same period of 2021.
Industrial output in February – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was 1.6% above the level of the previous month, KSH notes.
