Industrial Production Rises 11.3% y.o.y. in Sep

The volume of industrial production in Hungary grew in September 2022 by 11.3%, year-on-year, according to data by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Based on working-day adjusted data production rose by 11.6%.
The great majority of the manufacturing subsections contributed to the production growth, the statistical agency noted.
The volume of production also increased in the largest weight representing subsections year-on-year: the manufacture of transport equipment, as well as the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products rose significantly, while the manufacture of food products, beverages, and tobacco products grew slightly.
In the first nine months of the year, production was 6.7% higher than in the same period of 2021.
Industrial output in September – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was 1.6% above the level of the previous month.
