Despite the epidemic, Daikin Hungary Kft., the Hungarian representative of the Japanese brand Daikin, which manufactures and distributes heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment, achieved sales of HUF 14.4 billion in the 2020 financial year from April 2020 to March 2021, according to business daily Világgazdaság.
With a growth of almost 25%, Daikin Hungary was the largest growth subsidiary in the region among the member companies of Daikin Central Europe, and the turnover growth was also one of the largest in the last 20 years.
In addition to revenue, the number of employees also increased by about 5%.
Despite the significant increase in sales revenue, the company's profit practically stagnated at HUF 225 million, mainly due to changes in the exchange rate and the increase in labor costs in the construction industry.
