Czech Industrial Production Growth Accelerates in August

The Czech Republic's industrial production climbed a working-day adjusted 7.2% year-on-year in August, well above the 0.9% rise in July, data from the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) revealed on Friday.
Among sectors, manufacturing output advanced 7.5% yearly in August, and mining and quarrying production rose 7.1%.
Electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning output showed an increase of 5%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 0.8% in August.
Data also showed that construction output fell 0.4% year-on-year in August, following a 2.7% slump in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, construction output went up by 1.4%.
