Xanga group tops out first building at HUF 600m cargo base in Hungary
China’s Xanga group on Wednesday topped out a 5,000sqm building at a HUF 600m cargo base it is establishing at the Debrecen airport in eastern Hungary.
The building is the first at the base, whose area will be 50,000sqm when completed at the end of 2015.
Xanga group won a HUF 150m grant for the investment.
Debrecen Deputy Mayor Laszlo Papp noted that the group has been involved in the creation of thousands of new jobs by operating the local industrial park and plans further developments on a similar scale near the airport.
Xanga group CEO Istvan Herdon said SAIGO Port Kft, a member of the group, will put its logistic base currently under construction into operation in December.
Mr Herdon added that there are ongoing talks with Chinese companies as a result of which ten Chinese companies will establish units in Debrecen in the first half of 2012.
