VSMPO-Avisma sets up Swiss subsidiary, Tirus International

Russia’s VSMPO-Avisma, the world’s largest titanium producer, has created a fully-owned distribution company in Switzerland, Tirus International SA.

VSMPO-Avisma currently has two representative offices in Europe, and another two in North America. The company, which controls one third of the global titanium market, was established in July 2005. VSMPO-Avisma’s clients include aviation companies Boeing, Airbus, SNECMA, GE Aircraft Engines, Rolls Royce Aerospace and Pratt&Whitney. Rosoboronexport, Russia’s largest arms export monopoly, holds a 66% stake in VSMPO-Avisma. (rian.ru)
