Troubled Hungarian dairy company could get Italian suitor

Troubled Hungarian dairy company Óvártej could be rescued by an Italian buyer, if shareholders approve the investor's offer, regional daily Kisalföld said on Wednesday. The Italian company, which the paper did not name, wants to take care of half of Óvártej's liabilities immediately and pay off the rest from profits over five years. Óvártej owes suppliers some HUF 850 million, the paper said.
