Troubled grain company Cerbona on the block for HUF 5.7bn

The liquidator of grain-based food maker Cerbona has called a new tender to sell the company's property, equipment and other assets, which have been under liquidation since May, for HUF 5.7bn, the business daily Napi Gazdaság said on Thursday.

Cerbona owes creditors around HUF 6bn, the newspaper said.

The Szekesfehervar (c Hungary)-based company's revenue peaked at close to HUF 13bn in 2007, the newspaper noted. Since then, Cerbona has suffered from liquidity problems as a result of lost markets and loan-financed investments.
