Tarlós plans to employ Demszky
After winning the local elections in October, Fidesz’s nominee István Tarlós plans to offer a metro commissioner position to current city head Gábor Demszky, hvg.hu reported.
Offering the ungrateful position is, according the portal, rather a threat than a gesture since Tarlós often announces that, if he wins the local government elections in Budapest, he will check out the financial background of the whole metro 4 project and that he would also reconsider the length of the line. According to some, it would be more beneficial if the new line started in Budaörs (instead of Etele tér) but did not reach Zugló. (BBJ)
