T-Kábel launches digital cable TV services

T-Kábel, the cable TV unit of Magyar Telekom, Hungary's biggest telco, announced on Monday the launch of digital cable television services. The services will be available only in Budapest initially, but should be available in other big cities by the second half of 2006. T-Kábel is also planning to offer high-definition TV and video-on-demand services in future. T-Kábel has some 300,000 subscribers in Hungary.
