Sydinvest Zrt bought 1 million shares of Bookline.hu Nyrt in two days, the online bookshop company announced.

Sydinvest Zrt acquired a share of 30.534% and now has the largest stake in Bookline.hu Nyrt. The investment company is also majority owner of news portals index.hu and portfolio.hu. Bookline.hu is one of the most promising investments of the Hungarian internet business Kristóf Nobilis, general manager of Sydinvest commented.

He is considering to further increase the stake in Bookline.hu; the decision depends on the negotiations with Bookline-founder György Márffy, who has 28.24% stake. Márffy welcomed the fact that someone paid almost Ft 1 billion for 30% share of Bookline.hu and emphasized that this justifies the owners’ decision to introduce the company to Budapest Stock Exchange. We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
