State to start auctioning heirless objects

Deals

The Hungarian National Asset Management Company (MNV) on Wednesday said it will start auctioning objects which it came into possession of by means of inheritance.

MNV is starting the practice because of the cost and space required to store the objects which it acquired from deceased owners without any heirs.

MNV will auction 112 objects -- including jewelery, silverware, furniture and porcelain -- on May 3. The estimated value of the lots exceeds HUF 12 million.
