Stadler wins MÁV maintenance contract

Stadler Trains Magyarország, the Hungarian unit of Swiss rolling-stock maker Stadler, has won a public tender by Hungarian state railways MÁV to maintain 10 Bombardier Talent electric locomotives.
Stadler will perform preventive repairs at its service center in Pusztaszabolcs. The company has vast experience in servicing locomotives: since 2007, it has carried out the maintenance of the FLIRT fleet of MÁV. However, this is the first time that the company has been commissioned to service locomotives of a different make.
"The aim of MÁV was to find a company that provides high-quality and cost efficient service," said Zoltán Dunai, head of Stadler Hungary.
Stadler will provide maintenance until 2017.
