Spending on TV food ads climbs 36%

Spending on television advertisements for food products in Hungary saw a rise of 36%, reaching HUF 130 bln last year, while actual spending was probably lower due to discounts, according to market researcher Nielsen.

Spending on TV ads by hypermarkets jumped by 59% to HUF 23 bln, at list prices, and spending by supermarkets climbed by 57% to HUF 44 bln.
