Samsung Electronics welcomes new leader

Joseph Kim was appointed leader of Samsung Electronics Magyarország Zrt., while Dr. István Facskó, the electronic companyʼs former leader will be presidential adviser, according to a press release issued by the company today.

Kim has been working for Samsung Electronics since 2002, and aside from his new leading position as head of Samsung Electronics Magyarország Zrt., he will keep his former position to head the South Korean electronics companyʼs subsidiary in Romania. Between 2002 and 2008, Kim was instrumental in securing Samsung Telecomʼs Eastern-European market. In 2011, he was appointed to head Samsung Electronicʼs Baltic region.

“It is an honor to lead the Hungarian subsidiary of Samsung Electronics and its team. The performance of the Hungarian team was outstanding in previous years. Our goal is to further strengthen Samsungʼs leading position in the Hungarian market.”
