Romanian airline buys three Boeing 737s

Boeing Co. said Romanian airline Blue Air is buying three 737-900 extended-range airplanes worth $238.5 million at list prices.
Earlier this year, the Bucharest-based low-fare airline ordered two 737-800s. Officials at the Chicago-based aerospace giant expect the Eastern European market to have continued strong growth. “Over the next 20 years, airlines in this region will require around 450 new airplanes,” said Marlin Dailey, vice president of sales, Europe, Russia & Central Asia, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, in a statement.
