Research: Spending on TV ads for food up 24% in Hungary
Expenditures on television advertisements for food in Hungary saw a year-on-year rise of 24%, reaching HUF 78.4 bln in the first half of the year, market researcher Nielsen reported today, however, actual spending was likely lower due to discounts.
Spending on TV ads by hypermarkets jumped 34% to HUF 13.8 bln, at list prices, while spending by supermarkets climbed 21% to almost HUF 24 bln, the company added.
