Randstad Holding buys peer for $429 mln

Randstad Holding, the HR services provider present in 39 countries, is acquiring online recruitment network Monster Worldwide Inc. for $429 million, the local subsidiary of Randstad announced today. The purchased company will continue operations under the same name and as a separate legal entity.

Randstad Hungary termed the acquisition an important milestone in the life of the holding. Thanks to the acquisition, Randstad expects to further enhance its human resources portfolio. 

“In an era of massive technological change, employers are challenged to identify better ways to source and engage talent,” said Jacques van den Broek, CEO of Randstad Holding. He added that the digital technology solutions of Monster Worldwide fit well with the holding’s strategies.

Monster has been operating for twenty years and is currently present in 40 countries globally.
