Pécs to sell airport - Hungary

The municipality of Pécs is in talks with three strategic investors about selling or leasing its international airport, city mayor Péter Tasnádi announced at a press conference. 

Tasnádi said a Hungarian and two international investor groups have expressed interest in buying or leasing the Pécs-Pogány International Airport. Two of them are planning to manage other similar facilities in the region. Tasnádi declined to reveal the identity of the investors and the possible sale price, but said bids are expected to come in during the second half of the year and the deal may be sign early next year. The receipts will be used on developments or to pay down some of the city’s debt, he said. (Gazdasági Rádió)
