OTP Bank submits intent to buy 87.4% of Panonska Banka
OTP Bank Rt, eastern Europe's largest lender by market value, offered to buy a majority stake in Panonska banka a.d. Novi Sad from the Serbian government to expand in the region. Budapest-based OTP submitted a letter of intent to Serbia's Deposit Insurance Agency by today's deadline to buy a 87.4% stake in Panonska banka, the company said in a stock exchange statement.
