New oil field discovered in Russia
Recently a new oil field has been discovered in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, Northern Russia, says the press–release of Gazprom Neft.
The volume of original oil in place is preliminary exceeds 90 million tons. The ultimate oil-saturated layer is about 150 meter. In the next three years the company plans to conduct seismic studies at Vorgen license area, where the new oil field has been found, as well as drill three prospecting holes. Besides, Gazprom Neft is going to continue exploration works on the new oil field. (russia-ic.com)
