Hungarian insurance broker Netrisk on Friday said it agreed to buy 100% of durchblicker, Austria's leading independent price-comparison portal, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The transaction, which is pending regulatory approval, will extend Netrisk's presence to Austria. The company already does business in Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, and Lithuania.

Netrisk will keep the durchblicker brand and the company's staff.

Netrisk chairman László Sebestyén said the new group member is a "gem" that offers "significant growth opportunities" in the areas of insurance, telecommunications, energy services, and financial products.

Durchblicker compares prices of insurance policies as well as telecommunications and utility contracts, and rates for loans and deposits.

Netrisk group members include Netrisk.hu, Biztositas.hu, Klik.cz , Porovnej24.cz, Klik.sk, Netfinancie.sk and Edrauda.lt.
