MTV HQ owner buys car park too

Deals

Canadian real estate developer Tippin has recently acquired the Lipót underground car park at District 5’s Szabadság tér from German-owned construction company Strabag Zrt, which built the facility three years ago for Ft 4.2 billion.

Tippin Corp., which paid Ft 5.4 billion for the garage, had purchased the adjacent headquarters of the state-owned Hungarian Television Rt (MTV) from the State Privatization and Holding Rt (ÁPV) in early 2006 with plans to transform the grand historic building into a luxury hotel, office and residential complex after the public broadcaster has moved out. It is likely that the parking facility will be connected with the building when the latter is restored to its original splendor, daily Népszabadság speculated. (Népszabadság)

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
