MOL Croatian unit scales back production in Syria

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL on Wednesday said its Croatian unit INA announced that it further reduced crude and gas production in Syria by 1,300 boe/day because of a ban on imports of Syrian oil to the European Union and increasing political instability in the country.
The cut in production follows a 1,500 boe/day reduction INA announced at the end of September.
The EU banned the purchase, import and transport of oil and other petroleum products from Syria as well as the provision of financial or insurance services for such transactions at the beginning of September.
